I am currently a Research Economist (Assistant Researcher) at UC Berkeley's Center for Effective Global Action, and have also served as a Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics.
I am a development economist with research interests in health, demography, public economics, and political economy.
My research primarily consists of field experiments and original data collection in Sub-Saharan Africa (often Kenya). Current projects include studies of the effects of cash transfers on a broad range of outcomes (the Kenya General Equilibrium Study, KGES), on the long-term effects of child health interventions (the Kenya Life Panel Survey, KLPS ), and on the demography of health and aging as an NIA Demography and Economics of Aging Emerging Scholar (2026-28). I am a research affiliate of the UC Berkeley Center for the Economics and Demography of Aging (CEDA).
Prior to starting graduate school, I was an Assistant Economist in Research Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
